My Travel Companion- On the Go Mineral Powder

Packing can be a real struggle when travelling. There is always a limit on what you can take and you have to start making some tough decisions on which products that will have to miss out. I feel like every product that I use as my daily routine is “important” to me. Two of these products are foundation and sunscreen. When I was packing for my travels to Asia I knew that I had be strategic in which foundation to carry. I couldn’t have something that was too heavy on the skin due to the humidity in the countries that…

The Brilliance of AU Natural

Changing your skin care range can be REALLY scary sometimes. Especially if you have sensitive and unpredictable skin. Luckily for me Bee Bio launched AU Natural which is a similar product range with equal values and a sustainable approach. The biggest thing for me was not to see a reaction in my skin when I swapped between the two products. AU Natural has worked its magic on me so well!  AU stands for “skinfood” where it focuses on skin health and not skin beauty, using active ingredients such as Manuka Honey and NZ Botanicals to restore and strengthen skin with a regular routine….

Deep Cleansing

Where does anti ageing and caring for your skin begin? Most of us invest in expensive creams, serums, gels and what not. But we forget about cleansing. Isn’t that where it all begins? Prepping our skin by getting rid of all the dirt, bacteria and oil that gets built up over the period of day or night time, is a basic but very important step. We need to ensure the products that we use for cleansing isn’t harsh or has too many chemicals as it will strip your skin of the “good” oil leaving it prone to inflammation, acne and dry…

Ageless Skin- Starts Right Here

I feel like I am constantly in a battle with my skin.  Acne has definitely been something that I have been struggling with since I have been really young. So for years now I have been using all different types of skin care to try and help my skin. A while back I wrote a blog post on a the VLCC skin care brand ( click here for the blog post). It was definitely the best thing that I was using at that point in time. It had everything; sunscreen + herbal ingredients that were great for my sensitive skin. But…

A Better Health Plan by Nib Insurance

Moving to New Zealand as a child has had me see the struggles of my parents to provide for our family. This is where I started to see the importance of having something concrete behind us in order to enjoy the simple things in life. Health insurance is something that is overlooked when families move to another country; it is often seen as an extra cost. My family saw otherwise, and that is how I have always learned to think ahead. This is a special blog post to me, as I will be talking about how nib Insurance has helped…

NZFW17

Being a fashion blogger, fashion week is THE place to be. It’s got everything; food, wine, music and the most important of it all- HIGH FASHION. This was the very first time I attended New Zealand Fashion Week and I felt like a child at a theme park. I wanted to experience EVERYTHING! I had to have their wine, their food and buy little knick knacks from the pop up stores. It felt like the right thing to do. I got invited to three shows this year – Kate Sylvester, NZ Weddings Magazine and Flo and Frankie. Accompanying me to…

HUDA Liquid Mattes

If you have read my blog “A Shopper’s guide to three days in Sydney” then you would know how crazy I went shopping in Sydney. Well one of the many places that I went pretty crazy at was Sephora. To be honest, I am not a big collector of make up. But one step into Sephora and that could change for any girl. Below I have posted a review of what I thought of the HUDA liquid mattes. These beauties have changed my perception of a “lipstick”. Here is how I wear these shades: Material Girl – Night Out. Goes…

Bohemian French Braid Twisted Bun

I recorded this hair tutorial about a year ago and have finally managed to upload it onto my blog. Its a messy braided bun look where you start with one bohemian braid on one side of your head and keep adding to it as you go around and collecting all your hair. Then once all the hair is braided up, loosen the braid up and then pin up the braid into a bun.

Rubi Shoes

Shoes are my own guilty pleasure. I own over a hundred pairs of shoes and am emotionally attached to every one of them. When Rubi Shoes approached me to feature their next and upcoming line of “Sock Boots” on my blog, I was quite excited. Having worn many of the Rubi Shoe brands in my teenage years, I knew how fun and stylish these pieces would be. Having the perfect pair of shoes, for me, is the most important part of an outfit. It’s the essential finishing touch that pulls the whole look together. Sometimes, as long as your shoes are on point, you…

How to – Soft beach waves

You know those days when you have that perfect wavy hair and it makes life that much sweeter? Yes, I do too. And below I have compiled a short instruction how to achieve this very easy look! WHAT YOU NEED STEP 1 The most important step for this look is to have “gritty” hair. You need some matter in your hair to actually make the waves stay in. I’ve got quite dry and silky hair so in order to get this look, I hadn’t washed my hair for four days ( gross, I know..). Some people like to spray their hair…
